Introduction Chapter 1: Course Introduction
“Every mistake is a lesson, every success is a celebration. Both are essential steps on the journey of growth.”

Most people take this course because they’re required to complete their SAP plan and get back to work. We understand that.
Everyone has a story about how they ended up here. Maybe it was a one-time mistake. Maybe it came during a rough patch. Or maybe you didn’t realize how serious the consequences could be. Whatever your story, you’re not alone.
A lot of people in your shoes feel frustrated, ashamed, or even angry—at themselves, at their situation, or at the system. Maybe you do. Maybe you don’t. But if you do, you’re not the only one.
Whatever led you here—whether it was a one-time mistake, a pattern, or just bad timing—this course is designed to give you real, practical information. You’ll learn how marijuana affects your brain, your body, and your ability to do a safety-sensitive job.
The bottom line: using marijuana while working in a safety-sensitive job is dangerous. It can lead to serious accidents and permanent harm.
We respect the work you do. The transportation industry keeps this country moving, and your role in it matters. Thanks for showing up.
